This new Mirai has me stunned.
I have not seen a bigger glow up than this in recent years. I don’t know who lit a fire under Toyota’s ass but the world needs more of it.
One can only hope they sell it nationwide instead of California only. I would buy it pronto.

The problem with then selling it nationwide is that California is the only state with hydrogen infrastructure. I do hope they make a hybrid version like the Honda Clarity has which can be sold everywhere.

Wonder how long it takes before the grill extends past the front wheels.

That grill, though....

3/4 and sideview looks great. The front is still kinda eh in my opinion. I find it really stupid they made this great design into a hydrogen vehicle. It would be make more sense as a full electric.

Rear 3/4 view is by far the best. That nose is pretty eh. Regardless, it’s about the best looking thing to come out of their studios in awhile.

Seriously; it will look fantastic for the 28 people in California that buy it.

To parrot everyone else, not bad at all from the side, but that front, gack.

Agreed it looks amazing, but I have no idea how/why this happened. Why go through the trouble of making your most striking and beautiful car also your lowest seller, only leased in one state essentially? If they went through the trouble to design it - why not use that design for something more mainstream? Sure, sell a hydrogen version...but maybe also do an ICE/hybrid variant...like an upmarket Prius? Surely there’s a market for that.

Grill is awful, but the rest looks pretty good .
Regardless, it’s nice that they abandoned the “more creases than a paper airplane” approach.

I was thinking about it, and I feel like maybe Toyota saw what Honda did with the new Insight, and felt like they needed to step up their design game:
